Polyacrylamide PAM Emulsion Waste Water Treatment
RXSOL-40-4160-210Efficient flocculant and coagulant for settling of inorganic suspended solids, effluent water from suspended particles together in industrial and municipal processes
Product Description
RXSOL PAM Emulsion 1630
Product Code: RXSOL-34-4160-025
Product Description
RXSOL PAM Emulsion 1630 is a high-performance polyacrylamide (PAM) emulsion formulated for efficient solid-liquid separation in water and wastewater treatment applications. The active polyacrylamide polymer is dispersed in an oil phase using inverse-emulsion technology, providing a convenient liquid polymer with rapid activation in water.
RXSOL PAM Emulsion 1630 functions as an effective flocculant, promoting the aggregation of fine suspended and colloidal particles into larger, stronger flocs. This improves settling, clarification, flotation and sludge dewatering performance in a wide range of industrial processes.
Unlike conventional dry polyacrylamide powders that require extended preparation and maturation time, RXSOL PAM Emulsion 1630 inverts and dissolves rapidly when properly dispersed in water, typically developing within approximately 5–15 minutes, depending on water quality, temperature, concentration and mixing conditions.
Anionic Polyacrylamide Flocculant
Anionic Polyacrylamide Flocculant is an medium anionic charged polyelectrolyte to be used as flocculant in direct filtration process for settling of inorganic suspended solids, effluent water.
Application & Usage
Applications
RXSOL PAM Emulsion 1630 is suitable for a wide range of solid-liquid separation processes, including:
- Municipal sewage and wastewater treatment
- Industrial effluent treatment
- Sludge thickening and dewatering
- Clarification and sedimentation
- Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) systems
- Paper and pulp processing
- Textile and dyeing wastewater treatment
- Coal washing and mineral processing
- Mill and process wastewater treatment
- Oilfield and drilling-water treatment
- Produced-water treatment
- Mining and mineral-processing applications
It is used for effluent treatment of inorganic suspended solids found in chemical, Fishery, food, textile, dye, other effluent water, mining and coal washing waste water, metal processing, etc.
Dosage
The dosage range of Anionic Polyacrylamide Flocculant Anionic Polyelectrolyte Powder varies from 0.2 - 3.0 ppm depending upon the type of effluent and application. It is always advised to do a jar test for evaluating the functioning and approximate dosage of Anionic Polyacrylamide Flocculant Anionic Polyelectrolyte Powder.
Jar Test: Put sample of effluent in a beaker and add Anionic Polyacrylamide Flocculant Powder as designated, agitate for 1 minute at 100-120 rpm and then slowly agitate at 60rpm. Determine the floc properly at this time and note the sedimentation and clarity of top solution.
Procedure and precautions upon dispersion and dissolving flocculants:-
Dissolving time: The time required to dissolve the flocculant varies according to the type of flocculant, water quality, temperature and agitation. However, most flocculants generally require around 1 hour of agitation to completely dissolve the powder. Incomplete mixture of flocculant or lumping may inhibit the performance of the flocculant.
Agitation speed: The ideal revolution of the agitator is between 200-400rpm. A high speed agitator operating without reducing the revolution of a motor is not advised, since it may cut the molecules of the flocculant. An ideal agitator motor should be of 1HP for a 1-2m3 mixing tank.
Dissolving concentration: Flocculants should be standardly be dissolved to 0.1-0.2% concentration. It is also effective to start dissolving at a slightly higher concentration, and then dilute the flocculant mixture immediately before use.

Introduce the required quantity of product gradually into the dilution water under controlled agitation. Provide sufficient mixing to ensure complete polymer activation.
Depending on water quality, temperature, polymer concentration and mixing conditions, the product normally develops within approximately 5–15 minutes.
Excessively aggressive or prolonged high-shear mixing after polymer activation should be avoided because it can reduce polymer-chain effectiveness.
Dosage
The optimum dosage varies considerably according to:
-
Type and concentration of suspended solids
-
Wastewater characteristics
-
pH
-
Temperature
-
Existing coagulant program
-
Required treated-water quality
-
Sludge characteristics
-
Dewatering equipment
Laboratory jar testing or field trials should be performed to establish the most economical dosage and correct PAM grade.
The product can be used alone or as a flocculant following inorganic coagulants such as PAC, Aluminium Chlorohydrate, Ferric Chloride or Aluminium Sulphate, where appropriate.
Advantages of Emulsion PAM
The principal advantage of RXSOL PAM Emulsion over conventional dry polymer is its rapid preparation and activation.
Dry PAM normally requires careful powder feeding and comparatively long hydration/maturation periods. Emulsion PAM can be activated considerably faster, allowing simpler preparation and more responsive dosing.
This makes RXSOL-40-4160-210 particularly suitable for facilities requiring:
-
Continuous polymer dosing
-
Rapid polymer preparation
-
Compact dosing systems
-
Automatic chemical-feed systems
-
High-throughput wastewater treatment
Handling & Storage
Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes and use appropriate personal protective equipment during handling.
Polyacrylamide solutions and spilled emulsions can make floors extremely slippery. Any spill should therefore be contained and cleaned promptly using an appropriate procedure.
Store the product in its original tightly closed container in a cool, dry location, preferably within approximately 5–30°C, and protect from excessive heat, freezing and prolonged direct sunlight.
Refer to the current RXSOL Safety Data Sheet (SDS/MSDS) for complete handling, storage and safety information.
Packing
Standard Industrial Packing: 210 Kg Drum
Other packing options may be offered according to commercial requirements.
The 30–40% solids range above is aligned with the higher-solids grades on your reference page; the source lists PAM grades at 20%, 30% and 40% solids, pH ranges of roughly 4–8, and 5–10 minute dissolution. If RXSOL-40-4160-210 is specifically your 40% active grade, I would tighten the specification to Solid Content: 40 ± 2% rather than leaving it at 30–40%.

Remarks / Precautions
Polyacrylamide PAM Emulsion Waste Water Treatment
Product Name: RXSOL Polyacrylamide PAM Emulsion Waste Water Treatment
Product Code: RXSOL-40-4160-210
Product Type: Liquid Polyacrylamide Flocculant
Product Description
RXSOL Polyacrylamide PAM Emulsion RXSOL-40-4160-210 is a high-performance liquid polymer flocculant developed for water treatment, wastewater clarification, sludge dewatering and industrial solid-liquid separation processes.
The product is manufactured as a concentrated polyacrylamide emulsion in which the polymer is maintained in a readily activatable liquid form. Upon correct dilution and inversion in water, the polymer rapidly develops into an effective flocculating solution.
RXSOL PAM Emulsion combines high molecular weight, rapid activation, good storage stability and efficient flocculation performance. Compared with conventional dry polyacrylamide powders, the liquid emulsion can significantly reduce polymer preparation and maturation time, making it particularly suitable for continuous industrial dosing systems.
The activated polymer adsorbs onto suspended particles and forms bridges between individual particles, producing larger and stronger flocs. These flocs can then be more efficiently removed through sedimentation, clarification, flotation, filtration or mechanical sludge dewatering.
